Caroline and family wish to return their sincere appreciation to all relatives, friends, neighbours and staff and customers of Clerkhill Chip Shop for their many kind and very thoughtful expressions of sympathy extended to them personally by cards, letters, telephone calls along with the many personal comments on social media during the peaceful passing of Alan, a dearly loved and cherished husband, dad, father-in-law, granda and great granda. Thanking the community nurses and his previous family GP, Dr Fenwick and also his present family GP, Dr Atkins for their care and kindness and also staff at Clerkhill Pharmacy and to the many who paid their last respects both in The Almanythie Hall and Grange Cemetery and gave towards chosen charities which will be forwarded to Cancer Research UK. Last but no way least, to Mr Robert Mackie for his appreciated words of comfort and to his staff who called at the house and took Alan into their care all which was done with both such dignity and respect. “Busy hands now rest”
