Marlene and family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all relatives, friends and neighbours for all the many kind and thoughtful expressions of sympathy shown to them in so many ways. They have been truly overwhelmed by the generosity and support received, including many visitors, cards, flowers, food parcels and social media messages, as well as the generous donations received in lieu of flowers for Friends of Anchor, during their recent sad loss of William John (Bill), a dearly loved husband, dad, father-in-law, grandad, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. Donations for Friends of Anchor, both at Almanythie Hall and in person, totalled £1,080. Grateful thanks to the Oncology Ward at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary along with all the staff at Roxburghe House for their care, empathy and professionalism. Thanking Mr Ronnie Kain (Celebrant) for his kind visit and for such a fitting celebration of Bill’s life and to the Balmoor Function Suite for the lovely teas. A special heartfelt thank you to Stuart, Robert and the team at Robert Mackie Funeral Directors for their dedicated professionalism, support and guidance in the passing of Bill. We are eternally grateful. Finally, to all those who paid their last respects both in Almanythie Hall and at Baldarroch Crematorium. Forever in our hearts.
